Now that you've created your favicon icon using our Free Favicon Generator, you need to grab the code (shown in the bottom-most box below) as it needs to be included on each page of your website.
Simply click inside the box to highlight the code. Once highlighted, copy the code to your clipboard and then open your website in either a text editor (like Notepad) or your favorite html Editor (like Dreamweaver) such that you can view the html code.
You need to paste the code somewhere in the "head" of each of your web pages. The "head" portion is toward the top of your page's code and is denoted by the following html tags... It starts with --
Please remember... It is likely that your favicon will not show up right away, even though you've done everything right. I'm still not sure why this occurs but I have designed and installed enough favicons to know that it is a reality. Sometimes, the favicon will show up right away and other times, it may take a few days for it to appear (which is crazy).
Also, for some reason, it typically shows up in the Firefox browser sooner than it does when using Internet Explorer. So, make sure to check Firefox first... if it's showing up there you've done everything right!
