You can bring these ideas to life with your effort. It's not hard at all.

These ideas can be used for showers, birthdays, anniversaries, thank-you's, mother's day, friendship gifts, children, and romantic gifts. These are especially great for kids because to them it's like a lot of gifts in one. They get excited seeing all the different items you have chosen for them. It shows that you put thought into every part.

You can make them as large or small as time and money allow. Pre-made baskets can be pricey so make your own gift baskets!

Before you make your own gift baskets, pick up basket at a thift store, a yard sale, or purchase new. Baskets with large handle will be useful for mom at home later to store diapers, etc. Include items such as powder, shampoo, wash cloth, comb/brush set, rubber duckie. Use a baby towel or blanket to line the basket. Be sure to include "thank-you" notes for mom. Place two bows on each side (where the handle meets the basket) and you're all set. You could also use a baby bathtub in place of the basket.

You could do another theme for a new baby such as bottles, bottle cleaners, receiving blankets, diapers, books for baby, magazines for mom, bibs, clothes. Be creative. A walk down the "baby" isle at any dept. store will yield lots of ideas for you.

Use this idea for baby showers too!

The theme for these will depend on the child. For example, a young child of five years old would like a one that has a lot of color. Include books, small toys, a video game, baseball cap, a movie, popcorn or candy. An older child might like a gift card to a favorite store, books, his/her hobby items, a game, favorite sports drink. It all depends on the child's age and gender. For a teenage girl you might include a taylor swift cd, clothes, make-up, nail polish, journal, magazines, books, posters,etc. If you know their interests such as music, you might include a tuner, sheet music, music video, gift certificates to a local music store.

Pick up a basket at thrift store, yard sale, or new. Line it with cloth napkins/or tablecloth that is theme-based. Purchase wine, corkscrew, wine glasses and his/her favorite cheese. The grocery stores have gormet choices now. You can include cheese cutter, coasters,etc.

A variation of this is a fruit/wine basket. This basket is great for the health consious. Fresh flowers would be a nice addition too.

Spa basket. To make a spa gift basket include nice towels, soaps, shampoo/conditioner, hair clips, make-up, manicure items and lotion.

Gift baskets offer a lot of great choices. You can use cookies, chocolate, margarita (which would include two margarita glasses, chips/salsa, margarita mix, etc.)

This is a great for "grandparents" gift or a Mothers Day gift ideas. Who doesn't love delicious gormet and homemade jams and jellies. In this one, you could include a few boxes of gormet crackers and sprinkle with a few chocolate items.
